A full documentation set to turn underground fuel tanks into pellet storage units for feeding biomass boilers. Product includes technical description, schemes and instruction manual for installers to retrofit existing tanks into pellets tanks successfully.
Downloadable documents include Owners guide, Installation manual and Guide, Technical design of reconversion, Pictures of reconversion process, Economic costs of reconversion compared to underground tank disabling and Environmental impact.
The solution consists to recover metal tanks (aerial or underground) that contain liquid fuel in order to store solid material following this procedure: retrofitting, adapting, transforming and mechanizing an existing tank to store a new fuel type such as biomass pellets.
Subsequently, the conversion consists in adapting the tank (capacity of 5,000L to 50,000L) so that it can be filled through a direct off-load discharge or through a tanker pneumatic system. The extraction of the solid fuel to supply a boiler is carried out by a suction system.
5 comprehensive documents show how to perform an underground tank reconversion successfully with detailed explanations and pictures from already executed projects. Documents included are:
- Tank conversion explanation, as a summing up the procedure
- Preparing the old fuel tank to allocate a new fuel, as a guide for installers
- Installation guide to store biomass pellets, as a guide for installers
- Tank reconversion ecological and cost comparison, as a market study for marketing and sales
- Tank reconversion assembly scheme, as a technical drawing for installers and engineers
Besides, every tank reconverted will benefit from a 5-years extended guarantee upon registering the retrofitted tank according to the procedure and payment of the corresponding royalties (tank size depending).
